3 years old!
I wanted to share with you what has happened since I turned 3 years old on Saturday. My human, Lisa, has started taking me out for walks round the farm. Not surprisingly I have come across some pretty scary things – drain covers, a tire jump, a massive chicken coop to name but a few. All things that are outside of my experience.
How do I handle myself when I see something unfamiliar and potentially dangerous? Well most horses, and indeed most prey animal’s, primary instinct is flight and so they would run away to a safe distance. However, I’m brave you see, I take a deep breath, use my curiosity to overcome my fear and go and investigate. In my experience, most things aren’t as scary as they first appear! I’m wondering how do you handle dealing with the unknown, the unfamiliar, potentially scary situations?
